Underpinning your home's foundation not only added space and square footage, it also strengthens the existing foundation. With new conrete added, the overall durability will be that much greater. This process can be quite disruptive and a big expense though the benefits certainly outweight.
What can you expect once an underpinning project as been started? The basement is first cleared of clutter and debris. Basement floor is then demolished and removed uses a transporter which is typically installed into one of the windows. Bins or bags arrive to removed and dispose of the old soil. Then a comprehenisve inspection is conducted of all individual section include but not limited to: Interior Drains, Interior Waterproofing, Sump Pump, Vapor Barrier and Sewage ejector.
